The Waterloo Park Art Walk is an outdoor exhibit that stretches though Waterloo Park from Caroline Street to Seagram Drive.
The Art Walk features the work of 24 local artists who were selected by a jury to be part of the program for 2023/24
I’m excited to share that I have this art piece installed in the Waterloo Park Promenade Art Walk! It’s situated between the Perimeter Institute and The Canadian Clay and Glass Museum

The selected piece depicts our beloved cat Luna who we adopted from the KW Humane Society during the pandemic. In the background is a full moon, wrapped in a bright arrangement of what is best described as “astral yarn”.

This is a bitter sweet installation, a few short weeks after having the artwork accepted into the Art Walk, Luna became quite ill and is no longer with us. As a family there were and still are, so many tears. Seeing this installed helps remind us of the special role organizations like the humane society play in finding new homes for rescue animals and how they very quickly become part of the family.

Thank you to Create Waterloo and the City of Waterloo for supporting this project and public art!

We miss you Luna.
